^ if they don't now they do. We did this in highschool football summer three a days and it was our ONLY escape from the 100 degree weather with 80-100% humidity. Pleaseeee I wanna see every happy and cool. It's cheap and easy so let's get cold!!!!
Me and my boyfriend just picked up a misty mate. It's a portable mister. You clip the hose onto the top of your canopy, there are 4 holes the water mist comes out of. We found it at dicks. Tested it out already and its actually better than I expected. You can turn your canopy into your own misting tent! Gonna be a life saver! I'll try to post a link.
There are also these little mat like cooling things that you lay on your pillow. They don't need to be refrigerated or anything. They reactivate at some point after laying on them for awhile. I got one at Walgreens for $20 or so. It worked great....made my head cool just like when you turn you pillow over, but it was not very comfy. It was stiff & was segmented into three sections. My head didn't like those seams at all. I've seen other "cooling mats" online for your whole body, but they are upwards of $100. I hope to someday find a more comfortable one for my pillow, because the coolness was dreamy!
It has it's own tank. I believe it holds about 3 gallons of water.
Here's the link.

Don't count on the thin mylar emergency blankets, those didn't do crap for us last year. Every time the wind blew, it sounded like a potato chip bag crinkling.
Duct taping the edges down, so that wind can't travel in between the tarp and mylar, would probably help with the noise. I haven't tried it before so I'll try it before waka to make sure. If not I'll just buy more silver tarps instead of the blue ones. They do sell reflective mesh tarps that stop 70-80% of sun rays, but they cost ALOT more.
cheep stickey back velcro.
