I have two fans, and I might find an excuse to get a third. Air movement is important - I agree. A sleep mask keeps the sun from burning through the eyelids as well.

So do we have any weather forecasting festival experts who can tell us whether the drought conditions from last year are going to push that hot dry up into the hills north of Ozark at the end of May/first of June?

La Nina, El Nino, Southern Oscillation, .....

Fort Smith isn't the mountain top, but last year was warmer than normal. What is this year expected to be in comparison to normal?

    What can you find?

Agreed the O2 one get nice and flat. The coleman one folds up to but not nearly as flat. Both nice air movers can't believe I waited till last year to pick up a great fan. Guess I had been worried about what quality a battery powered fan could have but these two hit the mark.

That's a pretty good idea. It would reflect most of the rays and be dark under it. Whatever you do, don't settle for using black plastic sheeting like I saw someone doing year before last. That is, unless you want a sweat lodge. I think some foam double stick tape would probably do the trick, as long as the tent fly is dry and dust free. I would tape along the entire edge of the mylar with a few stripes in the middle.

I found a write-up on the internet a few months back about how to cover an entire tent with that emergency blanket material...if only I could find it now. I do remember the author talkin up its effectiveness quite a bit tho. I think its worth a try.

Found it! This person takes a bunch of steps to do this but as b*st*rd mentioned clothes pins. Cover tent in emergency blankets and secure with clothes pins!

Are you saying the clothes pins wont hold up or that the emergency blanket might "walk off". If that's the case I'm comin' at you like a spider monkey!

Do you think tape would hold better? This isn't Kansas, Dorothy is safe from the witches.
