We leave our moo moo (spigoted water container) out in the sun to warm then do a swim suit between the cars shower with the help of my hubby. nothing like a little soap running over ya and clean hair once or twice while there. But we also bring lots of baby wipes. Oh and don't forget the plastic dish pan for a cold afternoon foot soak, nothing like a cold soak for tired hot dirty feet.

It's amazing to see how popular this gets as the weekend wears on at Wakarusa!

I used a camp shower for the first time last year, and it worked great. The water got hot in the afternoon--too hot really; and one bag was way more than one person needed. Like katiegirl, I just forsook the shower curtain for the swimsuit and got by with a bit if discretion.

^^It gets the job done. Usually by day four im delirious from sun exposure and cover my body with mud to supposedly protect my self from radiation, but in all honesty I think I just kike putting mud on myself.

i just get the shower bags and toss em on top of the car. no need for the shower tent, just the water and hose. I'm not really trying to take the same level of shower I take after work before getting a drink and talking to some ladies, just rinse the dust off my hair and face and the fromunda cheese... fromunda

I do the same thing, even though I have the shower tent setup. It just gets too hot in those things, even with the sun shade off.

*To the first time solar shower bag users,*Do NOT leave your solar shower bag on top of you car, unless you enjoy scalding hot showers on a 100 degree day, (while most likely having a sunburn) LOL

EDIT: I like to keep mine UNDER the car, in the shade.

Thanks for the info, I was actually going to do some research on earth-friendly soaps.

Good advice, also be curteous to your neighbors and don't let your nasty water run-off interfere with their campsite. If using a bath tent setup, possibly set it up so your immediate neighbors can use it to...I've always found offering my goods to fellow campers definately starts things off right....ive also found cooking my neighbors breakfast was a good way to pay them back after our EZ up got caught in the wind and smashed into their cars, plural. Coolest people ever ended up partying with them most the weekend.-waka '08 damn that storm was the sh*t!

Last year I used a big Gatorade tub thing like .eureka.lover. did but I used a fish tank pump for the water. It's very easy put one end in the tub give it a few pumps and the water starts running out the other end. It only costs $5 I think and it's well worth it!

    have an awesome day
