don't paint the devil on the wall.
You will be faced with tough choices, but wait until you know them to be instead of anticipating them. There have been times, and i know i can say this, because you're the only one who will read it, that i've had to choose between another band and dirtfoot. I've been tempted. We all have. Sure they had four sets last year. Sure they were up against ty-chikn, campmates, at the open. Imagine the shame of disappointing smiling bob. Then they were against ozomatli to close. Ozo is upbeat and happy, a great closer. It was tough. It just came down to a consistently happy experience. Be careful about the split bill temptations. Oh, the vip can make it work, but the ability of a mere mortal to get back to a prime location in the revival tent at night or in front of the sound board at the mainstage in the evening. That is a rare and miraculous accomplishment.
http://www.jambase.com/festivals/wakarusa/ will surely present us with challenges sometime between may 5 & 9.
Last year there was a $49 solution (
http://www.amazon.com/the-noble-coll.../dp/b0024um3dg) suggested. I'm not sure how that worked out. Reality is sometimes shifted at the event in ways that would make it difficult to use technology. The lmtrhp also discusses the ethical challenges of using the tool (
