Who else is staying at Riverside besides my group?

    You should add me.

There will be much jubilation at our site - and we're always looking for new friends.

I'll most likely have a camp at Riverside. Going to be down to party with some of you Wakas!

I doubt you'll be disappointed with the Riverside camping!

I will preface this with the fact that I stayed at Riverside the first year they had camping there when it was just "overflow" from Main Venue (yes, I paid for a Main Venue camping pass and was put at Riverside). I hate to say it was not a pleasant experience (although I still LOVE Waka). The shuttling is a huge pain in the ass - you wait in line forever, lots of people are rude and cut in line, the buses break down and its a harrowing hair-pin turn ride up and down. It is also quite a bit hotter at Riverside because you are down off the mountain in a valley so it doesn't get the airflow. It is also much dustier because it doesn't have enough grass. There are toilets, water and ice, though. And, plenty of people. Nothing can really ruin a festival experience, but if you are on the fence, I would absolutely sell the Riverside pass and upgrade to Main Venue!

Not sure what year that was SJ but I camped there in 2010 and the buses did get pretty crazy I admit. Last year it seemed like they were on the ball though every time I took the bus to go down to the River. I think every year they get more experience and it gets better, so hopefully the bus situation should be smooth as butter this year

the 2010 shuttles were insane. I remember one broke for like a whole day, and does anyone remember "Hollywood" the bus driver who wore those beer goggles and ****tail glasses?

Hahaha yeah I remember that guy. I remember this whole ordeal going down at like 3 am after The Machine did Pink Floyd cause everyone was bum rushing the next bus even though there was a line. Some brawny ball-headed guy finally took charge and got the situation under control. That bus actually made for some very memorable experiences
