Default HELP/NOOB.Coming from SEATTLE! Airport pick up? Rideshare?

    Hey all,

Two of us from Seattle haven't decided whether or not to DRIVE 38 hours to OZARK with a RIDESHARE from WA.

    OR

Do people pick up travelers from the airport? If so, WHO? If the forum doesn't work, where would be the best place to find a freakin ride?

    Please help!
    Jazzy

    Hey Jazzy,
If I'm able to get two other people on board with my schedule (which would be perfect since its you and a friend) this is my plan:

Since I'm flying in as well, I'd like to rent a car for the weekend, and split the cost of the rental/gas with those who I drive. I'm thinking it will be about $70/person max (half the price of the taxi service that takes you there from the airport round trip)

The only issue is that I'll be flying back on SUNDAY - thus you will have to miss the Sunday night activities (which typically include sleeping all day from your crazy saturday). If you are down let me know and we can talk about it via phone or email or whatever. I really need to lock down others who are interested soon or else I'm taking the hit of the rental on my own .

    hey Jazzy,
Did you buy your tickets yet or decide to drive? We decided to fly into FSM, Fort Smith airport. It's supposedly only 55 minutes from the festival. Now we're looking to share a cab-- we arrive Thursday at 8:50 pm.

Hey! I will be flying into FSM (closest airport to Waka) that Thursday around 2pm. I will also be flying out of FSM Sunday around 11 am (if you're looking to share a ride back to the airport as well). Let me know if this sounds along the lines of what you'll be doing / if you'd want to look into a way of getting there together.

I also sent you a PM with my phone information

I know everyone has their own real life schedule and responsibilities, but seeing posts like this bums me out a little... Music usually starts at noon on Thursday and continues well into Sunday night. Considering you might not have camp set up until dinnertime Thurs and won't see anything on Sunday, you'll only get 2.5 days out of the 4 day festival (not counting Wednesday's Early Arrival festivities). If your plans aren't yet cemented, I strongly suggest trying to re-arrange things so you can stay a little longer.

    Good luck!

I will be driving from Poulsbo, but we are leaving May 23 and returning June 7, so that is a long time commitment for most

I tend to agree. If I can't be there for all I generally choose to be there for none...I would hate to drive all that way for a partial event. I know I know people gotta do what people gotta do.
