    Default Sites big enough?

This will be my first year at Waka and I'm coming with my boyfriend and another couple staying at West Woods. Can anyone tell me if they think we'll have enough space on one site for an SUV, 2 tents, and a canopy? I know the website says about 500 sqft but I thought I'd ask ppl who've actually been there and seen the space. Should we get a second camp site? Super pumped and can't wait to see you all there!!

I can tell you that from what I could see last year, people had plenty of room. I'm a Bonnaroo vet and I remember having to pile out of your car and claim space at record speed. Waka is totally different. You can't really know beforehand exactly where you'll end up, but I don't think you'll have a problem, and I don't think buying another camping pass is what you need.
Waka's like a big puzzle. Each of us brings a piece of it with us, and it all fits together just right once you arrive on the mountain. Get out and make friends with your neighbors, work together, and make a big, happy campsite. Rest assured that your piece of the Waka puzzle will fit in just fine.

I did a walk-through last year and there seemed to be plenty of space to sprawl.

Yep - plenty of space. The early bird gets the best worms, though.

The camping spots at Waka are no specific size. You just set up what you have and the next person in line sets up where your camp ends. That has been my experience the last two years at least.

In all honesty, ignore the measurements listed on site. They're never taped off. Once the guy tells you where to park, it's a free for all. Have your EZ Up and tents ready to grab first.

Luckily people are always real cool too and will ask how much room you need before they start setting up themselves.

sooo... we have 7 people and one camping pass at the main stage. Last year at Bonnaroo we had 4 people and enough room to pitch 1 tent and it worked out since we were hardly ever there.

This year, with the 7 of us we were going to try to make the site a little more liveable - all we really need room for is the 2 cars, a canopy and a tent.

I'm guessing we might need a second camping pass but i don't want to shell out another $100 if we don't really need it. Thoughts anyone?
