    Default 2 campsites 1 car

Hi all! Im a first timer and was have already purchased my main venue camping. Was wondering if it's possible to purchase west woods as well for a quiet vacation spot from the madness, even though I only have 1 car. Thanks for any info!

It sure is possible but not plausible.

You would create you own madness you are trying to escape, and later, if your head didn't explode from the initial logistical conundrum of setting up two campsites, you would be so tired of walking between the sites, you would only do it once more to tear down one of the sites and move to the other.

Don't make your head explode. Go this year as a newb, with only one site, and see how it looks for next year...

    Good Luck!

I wouldn't plan on driving your car out of Main Camping during the festival.

b* and tvg make great points.

I'd have trouble remembering the relative surroundings for two sites. That would require a fairly clear head, and with the comings and goings being at all hours of the day and night I would probably settle on one site over the other pretty quickly.

The second campsite expense would buy a lot of two sisters corn dogs. Or in my case a lot of slices of pizza from the students from that other university in Iowa who run a stand based on a commercial pizza oven on their trailer - who happened to be located about halfway down the row of vendors to the right of the main stage since the move to the mountain - a slice of their pizza and a boulevard pale ale sure sounds good right now.

You want a vacation ride the Ferris wheel a couple of times. Take the overnight waterfall excursion. go find a quite spot up closer to the entrance/ RV unreserved to have a little space from time to time.

There's more room than you think outside of the bubble.

you could always just walk up to west woods and bring a chair and some brews and just relax in the shade there

Or the shaded path to the backwoods stage. Saw lots of folks hanging out there, just chillin!

Call it a hunch, but I bet you could walk to the west woods camping, meet some folks and be able to get some R & R with some new friends.

Getting two campsites would create more hassles than benefits. Put that money towards inflatables or extra food for chompdown. You will be glad in the end, I promise.

or you could come make friends over in RV reserved. enjoy the shade, have some beers, and best of all listen to the backwoods stage. if you walk down wilderness street, i know a bunch of fine folks that will be hanging out around there. don't be shy!
