Right on, Friday it is! I'll make sure we have a good spot right on the river.

We will have booze but only so much - so if you can pitch in, i think everyone would be happier for it.

As for the txt group, is the reception so bad out there that it wouldn't be worth it? My service sucks so if reception is even a little touchy i'll probably have next to none.

    Personal update:
I just finished my last final so there's nothing to do but wait for Waka... it's maddening..

After pretty lights is gonna be ground score central! I usually take a recycle bag with me and pick up water bottles/beer cans. You are more focused on the ground that way!

    Groundscores are the best!

Found $100 one time and a pair of Keen Sandals that fit me perfectly... but it goes both ways -

Two nights later i was buying a beer at one of the vendors and $60 fell out of my wallet and before i could reach down and grab it, someone had already taken it and ran off into the String Cheese crowd.

Kinda bothered me at that moment but then i thought, "What if, (by some unbelievable stretch of the imagination) The guy who just ran off with my $60 was the one who lost the $100 in the first place?"

With all the craziness and utter randomness of festivals i wouldn't be all that surprised to learn that it was the same dude. But I decided I'd never know for sure... So i danced - OH HOW I DANCED!

I always seem to lose at least 1 thing; but then always seem to find something too.
Festivals are like giant untold swap-meets for people who lose sh*t - It's wonderful.

thats not really a groundscore... thats just stealing money. If you see somebody drop something, grabbing it and running away is definitely not a groundscore, and definitely not cool.

When I'm picking up trash, finding cool stuff (10 lighters last year! -- whenever anyone asked for a light, I'd just give em one) I have often found phones, keys, wallets, and other things of value. I never take them, I turn them in to lost and found! If its a wad of cash, with no ID, sure, but if its $100 in a wallet, you don't take the money out before turning it in!

^ Definitely. If you find something at Wakarusa that belongs to someone else, you can give it to the info booth or any St. Bernard. They will make sure it gets to the Lost and Found. It feels so good to be able to give someone their wallet, camera, etc. back after they have been so stressed about it being gone.

The $100 was outside my tent one morning - i asked all of our neighbors and no one claimed it. It was in 20's and there wasn't a wallet. The sandals i found on the ground after a late night show (probably 4am?) and again, i made a point to hold them up and ask everyone around me... No takers. People don't go looking for flip flops at lost and found; they assume they are gone for good. I would gladly have returned everything if anyone had said anything.

My point is, i'm not a thief! I didn't see anyone drop the money and there wasn't a wallet... How do i go about returning that?

Why would you just assume i stole $100 out of a wallet? you don't know me.. I'm a good person.

I would never picked up anything after seeing someone drop it except to give it back to them immediately!

    Jesus guys...

^Dude, chill. Take a breath. I believe he was talking about the guy that took your $60.

Edit: And you would be surprised what people come to L&F looking for. You would be SURPRISED.

i go to lost and found and ask if anyone turned in "my mind" that I lost the night before. usually gets a chuckle or two from the volunteers
I don't suffer from insanity. In fact, I rather enjoy it.
