So. No more alone talk. We must band together. We will triumph. All for WAKA and WAKA for all.

A little secret, and something considered blasphemous by some...

Mountain Dew & Maker's Mark (I call it an M&M)

Sure, I love straight bourbon as much as anyone...but once in a while you want to mix it up. It also adds an EXTREME!! element to the drink, giving you more power to perform "ollies" or snowboard jumps.

FYI - Mountain Dew was originally created as a mixer for bourbon - something few people are aware of.

Are you sure you cant make it this year? You (and your knowledge) will be missed

No Waka this year (booo!)...in my endless quest for new experiences - I am doing Harvest instead. For my "early season" fest this year I went to AURA (here in Florida) back in early March. Also - been wanting to get my brother back to a music fest, and Waka really isn't his bag anymore - Harvest is a perfect fit!

Back on topic: After finding out how nice Dew mixes with Bourbon - I tried it with many other spirits. It is also great with Gin. It's a drink I call "The Jew" (Gin and Dew). Not anti-semitic in any way, just a phonetic bonus.

I created a c0cktail last weekend. OK really, it was just what we had on-hand. Necessity being the mother of invention i threw together tequila, gin, some Devil's Cut bourbon and raspberry lemonade.

It was tasty with a beautiful oak aura surrounding the sour and sweetness. Just need a name for it....

I'd call that "sleep", brother, because after a couple of those, it's what I'd be doin', lol.

    Actually sounds good, though!

i scrolled through and didnt see this one... but to go along with some of your new found love for dew-mixing:

the Jack-a-Dew. 1 part jack : 2 parts dew is a nice mix for hot days. whats great about this drink is its sippable even if you cannot finish by the time it gets warm.
the way i usually measure is to use a 20oz mtn dew, drink or pour out down to the top of the lable, fill to top with jack. lightly spin to mix.

Out of disparity I mixed cheap vodka with diet dr. pepper, and a splash of OJ, and created one of my favorite mixed drinks!
