And folks, please DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE ON THE WAY IN... beyond the obvious safety hazard, law enforcement officials will be present and doing their jobs.
I think that goes without saying... but I felt the need to say it anyway!
Mash is right on. No need to risk the fun you're paying to have in the venue.
what about passengers drinking on the way in??? and I don't mean road tripping all the way to Ark.. but once on the mtn and if there's a line.

From what I have read, Arkansas doesn't have a specific open container law, but it's illegal to consume alcohol in a public place that hasn't been sectioned off for an event. That includes public highways, and thus, cars on public highways. I wouldn't risk it. You've waited all year. What's a couple more hours?
well i figured i'd have a few drinks at Calibilly's before heading up to the festival, and once i start I like to keep going is all.

this topic was discussed ad nauseam prefest last year, and Benrd is right...technically there isn't an Arkansas open container law, but you will most definitely get a ticket - drinking on the highway, public intox, etc. - if your vehicle happens to get pulled over (plus this would give them reasonable cause to search your vehicle; and if cops search your vehicle you're going to have a bad time).
whatever you decide, just don't let your driver drink...stay thirsty my friends
Having a wonderful time, wish I were here.
Yea ok, all good pts. I will just hold off til we are in the festival...... maybe lol

i wait until the car has been searched and we have a wristband, then its party on!!!!
that way technically you are on the private property of the fest and as long as you aren't driving i see no problem with drinking in line
