Edit: The links on the list post do not work. Example: Click on Soulive link in your post, got a page error from archive.org. Clicked on link provided by Pat in original post and worked fine. Just a heads up.
    Fixed. Thanks for the heads-up!

    Default Avett Brothers

This one's for tink and punkin, two friends from Kansas who I haven't seen in too long.
I remember well my introduction to this band back at a Kansas Waka in the Revival Tent on a Sunday night after a storm shut down the fest....

Setlist help is always appreciated, you know 'em, you love 'em, type 'em for me when you hear 'em.

Update - taken down out of respect for the wishes of the artist.
Thanks Avett Bros for a great show.

Please support the band by going to see them live and buying their recordings.

Dave! Have I told you lately that you are awesome??? Baby, you are better than cheese on a cracker!!! Can't wait to get home & listen to your work (stinkin' work). Thanks bunches.

Funny thing about me & the Avetts. I had a friend back in '05...'06 who loved them & raved constantly. They used to play in Lawrence quite a bit back then. I listened to one of the CD's we had at work (I work in a library) & just did not like them at all. I was at every one of the Waka's they were at & never even bothered to check them out, because I had heard they just screamed a lot. Now I look back on their youtube clips from that time period & kick myself. The shows were great....a bit wilder than they are now. Such a silly girl I was! I fell in love with them at Harvest '09 (I think?) & can't get enough now. I've seen them twice this year with another show (maybe 2) coming up later this summer.
    Thanks again Dave!

The powers that be dropped the hammer on my torrent.
    It's been taken down.

Sorry if I offended the Avetts.
I always assume that since Waka is a taper-friendly fest, the artists are cool with us sharing our recordings.
    If not, they go away.
Don't worry, I got dozens more.

I recorded that set, but did not enjoy their show. It's not that they are untalented, and part of my dislike I'm sure was the rain/storms and the crowding under the Revival tent. I have never gone back to listen to that audio - let alone track it out.

I wonder if a recording of that set ever surfaced - not sure how many tapers were still going at that point...
Push out the jive. Bring in the love.
