yeah i've seen that guy...i think at other shows besides wakarusa as well. one of those guys that always gives me deja vu "haven't i seen that guy before?!".
John was definately missed by my group this year. Have had the pleasure of eating lunch/supper with him several times in VIP. Awesome guy. He loves STS9.., we bonded instantly.
legendary.

And if I had a pony, I'd ride it on my boat
Much love for John. He was in line behind my group as we entered Waka '06 and ended up camping next to us. Great guy to hang out with and talk music. I always get a big smile whenever I run into him at random festivals... I can only hope to be "living the dream" when I get to be his age.
Push out the jive. Bring in the love.
OMG...I just realized who this guy is! I met him on Jam Cruise and he gave us a little wooden guitar that he made. Always rocking and dancing in the front of the crowd!!
I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat.
I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

John is my hero. I love seeing him (and I seem to see him everywhere) and talking to him. He's a man of many stories, but he isn't a one upper type guy. I hope to be doing the damn thing like he is when I'm his age.

That story is a year old.
I've seen him at several Wakarusas. but not this year.
I wanted to talk to him, because I thought he was the guy who works at my local HyVee, in Lawrence. (I guess not.)
Anyone seen him lately? I hope he is still rockin.
(The link to the second page of the article threw me at first, CCRGMac, but I was able to handle it.)
