Thread: New Additions to lineup

    Default New Additions to lineup

Wow, Waka 2 keeps getting better and better. NMA, Karl Denson, Particle, STS9--the only thing that could make this even better would be an announcement that Galactic is making a return appearance. Their evening show was definitely the highlight of Waka 1 for me. Team B, I had faith in the people of Wakarusa land and you have not disappointed!! The site says more announcements to come. Can we expect some more headliners on the level (or even \"bigger\") than what has been announced?? Just throw me a bone, please!

Yeah I am very excited to see the added artists! Particle?! Jazz Mandolin Project?! STS9?! Umphrey's? THATS what I wanted to see. Sorry bluegrass/country rock bands, I enjoy you a little bit, but you bore me after a half hour.

Speaking of returning bands, it would make me even more happy if the Hairy Apes BMX and Jacob Fred Jazz Oddyssey came back! Oh yeah, and Buckethead, Claypool, and Estradasphere!

    Hey Man,
If you like the bluegrass sound but you wish it could contain more jam style music make sure you check out the Deep Fried Pickle Project and New Monsoon. Both of these bands can just rip it up and take you in to space like its nobodys business.

Yeah, actually I got one of those New Monsoon sampler cds at Wakarusa and thought it was pretty sweet.

    Default Monsoon/Deep Fried

I know what you mean. That sampler was how I got introduced to The Monsoon. Their new disc live at Telluride is sweet too.
Check out the Deep Fried Pickle boys too because I just caught their New Years show in MI and it was hot. Their bass player plays a washtub bass and their lead guitarist is bad ass!
I am hoping for a Monsoon/Pickle tour because that would be unstoppable!
