    Default FRIENDLY CAMPSITES

Are the campsites frriendly, i mean neighbors looking out for neighbors? Are there lots of rats trying to go through your stuff while you're gone?

for the most part i would say your stuff is safe ... obvisouly dont keep anything of value out in the open ... hide your coolers and guitars in your car or tent b4 you go to a show and you should be ok

went to the roo last year and we never had anything stolen even if it was left out in the open, not that i would recomend it but most people are feeling the same vibe as you and dont want to squash it. so as long as its not a wallet with 50's hangin out you souldnt have any problems

I didn't hear anything of importance from any campsite get stolen except for 'random' things cops picked up.

My experience was pretty cool. I flew into KS and got a ride to the fest from someone I met on the Goin' My Way forum.
When we got into the general camping, we parked and were camped right on top of each other. Our neighbors were mad cool and we kept an eye on each others' stuff all weekend. Of course, non of us spent too much time at the campsite, but while we were there, we had no problems.
Everyone seemed to be pretty chill. I heard of a couple of coolers walking away from a couple of campsites, but nothing too terrible.
As far as the cops taking things from campsites...if you are dumb enough to bring something that the cops would not appreciate you bringing, and you're even dumber to leave it laying out at your campsite when you're not there, you should expect that someone will take it, whether it's the cops or not.
Bring only wht you need...and make it cheap **** you can live without and you have no worries. Bringing things you're worried about losing is only inviting trouble you don't need.
And that's one to grow on!

Yea, Dupree. I tend to look at it not as a matter of 'IF my **** get's stolen', but 'WHEN'. I've had my share of stuff stolen or just been ripped off before. Just be smart about it and try to really get to know your neighbor. This isn't bonnaroo, so I'm sure most people will be heading down for music as priority number one. Definitley mine!

At Waka...we were stumbling drunk at 8 in the morning and our friend double d shouted \"Who's got my fifth beer of the day?\" Someone handed him and ice cold Miller lite. Stumbling drunk is part of what it's all about!
