    Default New Belgium-Sponsorships

Noticed the lack of New Belgium as a sponsor, which was a higlight of last years Fest. Sure it was expensive, but the fact that such a cool, independent company sponsored a cool, independent festival stood out, and it's something I would like to see again. And if they are not sponsoring it this year, who are some of the other sponsors?

And if another beer company is going to be choosen, pick Boulevard, because their Wheat is the best darn beer in the world in my humble opinion.

I would just hate to see some big corporations step into the Wakarusa mix, as I like I would lose a lot of excitement about this fest. Love to hear anybody elses comments on the matter.

Good timing on the question. As of yesterday, New Belgium will be the beer sponsor for the next three years. They are the perfect match for Wakarusa.

I suggest a plain Wakarusa Light from the New Belgium boys this year. I loved their beer, but I can't drink alot of it. How about just somethin plain?

I'm with ya Critter. Let's face it - it will most likely be MUCH MUCH hotter this year. Chances are we won't have a hurricane on night one to cool down the rest of the weekend. Something plain goes down easier in the heat.

New Belgium's Fat Tire is the best beer made in the USA. Every time I travel out west, it's a battle to stuff as much Fat Tire as possible to bring home. I wish it were sold here in Chicago. Very pleased they are sponsoring this festival.
To much of everything is just enough!

Yeah, they really needed to have something else. It will no doubt be a hot bitch out there this summer and the beer won't flow nearly as well if it's just those two selections.

I have to agree about the beer options. I'm not a big beer drinker....I get way too loopy, way too easily! The Fat Tire was good, but so heavy. I'd like to see something lighter & refreshing. It's really too bad Boulevard couldn't be a sponsor. They have some nice choices. I love Zon!

Maybe I'll just have to start practicing my beer drinking now in preparation.......
